THE LOUNGE

The Lounge is a coffee lounge and bistro by day and a wine, beer and small plates by night. The Lounge at the Old Maltings in Biggleswade has added a sophisticated and relaxed dimension to dining and drinking. The Lounge is fast becoming the place to be with its free high speed WiFi access and quiet, relaxed atmosphere. At lunchtimes, a selection of traditional and bistro items are served, from jacket potatoes to baguettes, omelettes, grilled chicken salads and gourmet burgers. Professionally baked pastries, cakes, panettone and toasted bagels are also available all day.

Small plated food is available all day from the deli, to compliment your wine, beer or coffee with a great selection of marinated fish, stuffed peppers, are also available all day.

Coffee is served all day from open to closing time so you can even stroll in for a night cap, a liquor coffee, or a nice cheesecake and hot chocolate.

In the evening a small plates menu is available with a succulent selection of meatballs, mini lamb cutlets, prawns, chorizo, roasted potatoes with a hot sauce and crabcakes to name but a few. With more than 40 wines to choose from, 25 available by the glass and 8 champagnes and cavas, also available by the glass. For the beer lovers there is Estrella; the beer of Barcelona; and Kasteela Cru, brewed on champagne yeast. There are also traditional bitters and cloudy ciders as well as a good selection of premium spirits and juices.
